The Life & Family ministry at American Martyrs parish hosted a first ever Life Forum to educate on life issues and provide opportunities to get involved in promoting life in the community.
The focus was on abortion: the Dobbs decision, overturning Roe, and Prop 1, which will change the CA constitution to make abortion on demand a right. There was a panel of speakers who covered the topic from the perspectives of faith, science, law, and within the industry. The forum presented a Catholic perspective but is accessible to all.
During the forum, the panelist referenced two papers that study the historical recognition of fetal personhood in US law. Those two papers can be found here:
