Exceptional Pro-Life Kids Raise Funds for the Center

We are constantly amazed by the young people who choose to become champions of God’s call to protect human life. These remarkable kids have used their time and talent to bring attention to the pro-life cause and support the Center. They are proof that age is just a number when it comes to making a difference in the lives of others. Here are some of our recent young donors:

A Paw-fect Gift

A teenage donor made a generous gift of $500 to the Center as part of the Walk for Life fundraiser. He raised the remarkable sum after his German Shepherd had puppies and the family decided to adopt them out. The teen explains he wanted to “give the money back to God by donating it to a favorite nonprofit”, and since his family are regulars at the Walk for Life, he generously made the donation to the Pregnancy Help Center.

Running for Life

Three resourceful kids raised an impressive $400 for the Pregnancy Help Center by running a 5K in March 2022. The siblings, Norah (12), Matthew (10), and Judah (6), trained for months to prepare for the marathon which was hosted by their homeschool co-op. They also sent emails to their family and friends to request donations and prayers. According to Norah, they chose to support the Pregnancy Help Center because, “We want to use our physical abilities to help others see how God loves and treasures babies in their mother’s womb, and how precious that life is to Him.”

Sweet Treats for Sweet Babies

Another kid chose to generously donate 75% of the proceeds from his ube ice cream stand to the Center. Enterprising Ricky set up the ice cream stand, Ricky’s Purple Cream Stand, and sold homemade ube ice cream during Lomita’s Lemonade Day in August 2021. Ricky said, “I was inspired to help the Pregnancy Help Center because I want to help expectant mothers and their babies, and I helped my church raise donations for them a couple of years ago (through a baby bottle fundraiser).”

When Lemons Give Life

Two amazing young entrepreneurs, Nathan and Alynna also donated proceeds from their lemonade stand to the Center as part of Lomita’s Lemonade Day.

They set out a special donation jar for the Center at their lemonade stand. Their mother shared, “We have loved the Pregnancy Help Center through our church for many years and have friends who are active in volunteering there. However, the organization came to mind again as a loved one was able to use your services over the summer.”

We are so grateful for the support of these incredible kids. Age truly does not matter when it comes to making a difference! If their stories have inspired you to care for the preborn, learn how you can support the Pregnancy Help Center here.
